De EU wil de toegelaten grenswaarde voor PLC verhogen.

Why is this petition important?

Lobbyists manipulate laws and standards. One of these standards is related 
to "Internet from the power outlet.” The PLC manufacturers now request the 
EU to substantially raise the permitted level of interference caused by 
their systems.PLC (“Power Line Communication” - in USA known as “BPL, 
Broadband over Power Line”) transfers data using the existing power lines in 
the house. These lines were not designed for and are not suitable for 
transferring higher frequencies. This way, the wiring in a house will become 
the antenna for an uncontrolled radio transmitter, radiating wideband 
signals across the HF spectrum.These transmissions might seriously interfere 
with communications during rescue or police operations, in the worst case 
scenario making a rescue effort impossible.Every connection to a network 
must be made in a radiation free way, following stringent standards. These 
standards must of course also apply to PLC!Please help to stop this 
unnecessary source of interference by signing the petition!Important
